Frequently Asked Questions
Everything worth knowing before you remodel: our materials, how it works, the Site Survey, pricing and payment, installation, maintenance, and the lifetime warranty.
Products & Materials
We focus on three things and do them exceptionally well: walk-in shower remodels, bathtub replacements, and tub-to-shower conversions. Every project is built around our waterproof, grout-free wall systems and installed by our own certified crews, with accessible, low-threshold options available on any of them.
Your walls are large, grout-free wall tiles with a rigid, non-porous surface. They are custom-manufactured to the exact dimensions of your space, so the finished enclosure has no tile, no grout lines, and nothing for water or grime to work into.
Tile looks great on day one, but its grout is porous. Over the years it absorbs water and minerals, discolors, cracks, grows mold, and needs regular sealing and scrubbing to stay presentable. Our panels have no grout at all, so there is nothing to reseal and nothing to stain. They wipe clean and hold their finish for the long haul.
Yes. We waterproof the wall behind the panels, and the panels themselves are non-porous and installed as continuous sheets. With no seams or grout for moisture to get behind, there is nowhere for mold and mildew to take hold.
Hard-water minerals cling to porous grout and etch into tile over time, which is what causes that chalky buildup. Our non-porous surfaces give scale nothing to bond to, so hard-water residue rinses and wipes away instead of accumulating.
How It Works & Site Survey
You design and price your bath or shower online, then place a $250 deposit to reserve your project. Your Personal Project Manager schedules an in-home Site Survey with a local VizaBath professional, we confirm the details of your space, and we finalize your price. Once you approve that price, we schedule your installation. Nothing moves forward until you have approved the final number.
The $250 deposit reserves your project and lets us schedule your Site Survey. It is non-refundable, and it is applied toward the cost of your project when you move forward.
Your PPM is your single point of contact from the Site Survey through final project details and installation. They coordinate the process, review any adjustments with you, and keep you informed at every step.
A Site Survey is a short in-home visit where a local VizaBath professional confirms the details of your space so we can finalize your plan. We check measurements and layout, drain location and direction, water supply and valve locations, wall condition and substrate, subfloor condition, and whether any permits are required.
The price you build online is confirmed after your Site Survey. If your space needs additional work, such as substrate or backer board, framing or blocking, subfloor repair, plumbing, drain, or electrical changes, permits, or other unforeseen conditions, we explain it clearly and review it with you before you approve anything. There are no surprise charges.
Pricing & Payment
No. Your price is shown online and updates in real time as you choose your design and upgrades. Every available upgrade is clearly itemized, so you decide exactly what to add. You will never see 'call for pricing' with VizaBath.
You see your price as you build online, then we confirm your project requirements and final price after your Site Survey. Any additional work is explained and reviewed with you before you approve it.
You can pay by major credit card, ACH bank transfer, monthly payments through Affirm for qualifying customers, or cryptocurrency (supported stablecoins). We do not accept cash or personal checks.
Yes. Flexible monthly payment options are available through Affirm for qualifying customers, and our team will walk you through the plans and terms available.
Installation & Process
It begins with an in-home consultation, where we measure your bathroom and show you finish samples in your own lighting. We then manufacture your panels to those measurements and schedule your installation, usually within a week or two. On installation day our crew removes the old tub or shower, preps and waterproofs the space, fits your new system, and finishes with a full walkthrough.
In most cases, yes. Because every panel is measured and built ahead of time, there is no slow, tile-by-tile buildout on site. Our certified crews remove the old surround and install the complete new system in roughly one to two days, so you are not living around an open project for weeks.
Always. We take the old enclosure down to the studs, inspect the framing, address any hidden water damage we find, and apply fresh waterproofing before the new system goes in. We never install over failing tile or glue a liner on top of an old surround.
We keep it clean and contained. Our crews protect the surrounding areas, haul away all of the old material, and tidy up before they leave, so you get your bathroom back quickly and without a mess left behind.
Your project is installed by VizaBath's own factory-certified crews, not day-labor subcontractors. That consistency is a big reason the work holds up, and a big reason we are comfortable backing it for life.
When a project calls for a permit or inspection, we manage the paperwork and scheduling for you, so the process stays simple on your end.
Maintenance, Durability & Warranty
Simply wipe it down with mild soap and water or a soft, damp cloth. There is no grout to scrub, nothing to reseal, and no need for harsh or abrasive cleaners. A quick routine wipe keeps it looking new.
Very. The grout-free surface resists chips, cracks, staining, and fading, and because there are no grout joints, there are no weak points to fail. It is built to look and perform the same years from now as it does on installation day.
Every VizaBath installation is backed by a lifetime warranty on both the product and the workmanship. Because we build with durable, grout-free wall systems and install with our own crews, we stand behind the panels, seams, sealant, and fixtures we put in.
Yes. The lifetime warranty stays with the home, which can be a genuine selling point if you ever decide to move.
It covers installation workmanship, covered defects in VizaBath wall systems and components, and covered installation-related sealing and waterproofing. It does not cover misuse, abuse, or neglect, damage from improper or abrasive cleaning, normal wear and tear, damage caused by third parties, structural or pre-existing conditions, events outside our control, or products covered separately by a manufacturer's warranty. Full details are in our Lifetime Warranty Terms.
Submit a claim through our online warranty claim form with your project details and a few photos. Our Warranty Team reviews every claim and contacts you about the next steps.
Customization & Accessibility
You can choose from a range of marble- and stone-look wall finishes, including options like Frost, Carrara, Venetian, and Slate, and pair them with fixtures, glass doors, and hardware in finishes such as brushed nickel and matte black. Our online designer lets you build your combination and preview it before you commit.
Every VizaBath includes three grout-free walls, a shower pan or bathtub, a standard fixture, and a curtain rod. From there you can add a handheld shower wand, corner shelves and recessed wall niches, grab bars, a flip-up bench, and a sliding glass door in place of the curtain rod. Shelves, niches and the flip-up bench are matched to your wall finish, and grab bars and door hardware to your fixture finish, so the whole enclosure looks intentional.
Yes, tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most requested projects. We remove the tub you rarely use and replace it with a low-threshold, slip-resistant walk-in shower, typically in about one to two days, giving you a space that is easier and safer to step into every day.
We offer low-threshold and curbless entries, slip-resistant shower bases, built-in bench seating, and securely mounted grab bars. These features support comfortable, independent aging-in-place, and they are designed to look like a natural part of the bathroom rather than a medical add-on.
